Project A:
This project, now under construction, is a design to replace what was once the main house of a summer cottage. Fourteen years ago I designed a two-part addition to the main cottage. The first part was a screened room, which also acted as a connection to a new master bedroom/bath addition. The owners are now nearing retirement, and with a desire for a possible year-round home, so the old, original main cottage is being replaced with a structure larger in square footage, but with relatively the same footprint as the original. The additional square footage is accomplished with a now, full 2-story building to replace the old single story structure, which had very small sleeping lofts. The screened porch connection now becomes the main dining area and a new, screened porch is added to the back of the house, in place of an existing deck.

Project B:
This project consists of a new master bedroom addition and a second floor redesign. The new master bedroom will be located above an existing family room and part of the garage. Also included is a reworking of the existing, second floor bedrooms and bath, the goal being to enlarge the rooms and to open up the hall at the top of the stairs. The plans are essentially completed and the project is in the bidding stage.
